Who checks the answers
OMM GOAT is built and checked by Laurence Stolzenberg, DO, M.Sc., a resident physician who tutors students for COMLEX. Every answer key comes from rules a DO signed off.
Rules a DO signed off
Cases are built from a rulebook, not written one by one. Every rule and every bank question is checked by a DO before it ships. Rules last signed off: October 12, 2026.
No recalls, ever
Nothing here comes from real exam items or recalls. Cases are built from published osteopathic teaching, in our own words.
Both versions count
Where good sources disagree, a version a reputable source teaches is never marked wrong. The case shows a No consensus note instead.
Who is behind it
Laurence Stolzenberg, DO, M.Sc. built OMM GOAT for the OMM questions students keep missing: sacral torsions, rib groups, Fryette naming, viscerosomatic levels and counterstrain positions. He checks the rules behind every case and reads every report students send.
How an answer is checked
- A DO signs off the rule. Each answer key comes from a rule table or a bank question that a DO approved against standard osteopathic references. Any change to a rule needs that sign-off again.
- The code checks it a second way. Pelvis, L5, spine and rib cases are solved again by separate code that never reads the rule tables. Every other question has each option checked against its key again. A case that fails its check is never shown.
- Students check it too. Under every explanation there is a link, "Something off? Ask the DO". The DO reads every report, and a confirmed error is fixed for everyone and listed in the changelog.
The code checks catch code mistakes. The DO checks the medicine.
The no-recalls policy
Nothing on OMM GOAT comes from real exam items, recalls or anyone's memory of a test. The cases are built from rules written in our own words from standard osteopathic teaching, and the guides are written the same way.
When sources disagree
OMM sources do not always agree: a review book gives one level, a school handout another. When that happens, the case keys the version board review uses and accepts the other one. A version a reputable source teaches is never offered as a wrong answer, and the question shows a pale No consensus note that names the other version.
Every one of them is listed on one page: where OMM sources disagree.
