The RIFT screen for back and neck complaints: Radiculopathy, Infection, Fracture, Tumor. Ask about neurologic loss, bowel or bladder change, trauma, infection risk, cancer history and systemic symptoms. An age cutoff or night pain alone does not make a diagnosis.
